When Trish Collins of TLC Book Tours asked me if I would read and review a complimentary copy of Five Days of Fear by first time author David Kovach, I hesitated a bit, after all suspense novels aren't my usual reading fare, but the tagline "Christian" caught my heart and I thought, why not try something new?
I actually found Five Days of Fear, a thriller with revenge, kidnapping, FBI investigations and romance, to be very edge-of-your seat entertaining, but best of all, it was a joy to read a book without any vulgarities or excessive violence. My only criticism would be that I found it to be a little excessive in unnecessary detail which slowed the reading down in spots, for example, the author goes into detail about driving directions and the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999 which I found to be very dry and distracting from the story, although others may find this information to be very helpful. Overall, I enjoyed Five Days of Fear and would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in reading suspense novels.
